Launched in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, this exhibition introduces the rich tapestry of Hungarian immigrant communities and their vital contributions to the nation’s development. Through various waves of immigration, key geographic hubs, and remarkable individual lives, this project weaves personal narratives into a broader civic history.

This initiative is built on a multidisciplinary, inter-institutional and transatlantic collaboration. A strong network of engaged partners – public collections, academic institutions, and civic organizations from both countries – ensures that the initiative is comprehensive, credible, and deeply rooted in the communities it represents.

Communities and individuals, in both the U.S. and Hungary, are invited to engage with this legacy through on-site cultural programming and a dynamic interactive virtual platform. Designed for both physical settings and online space, the modular structure of the exhibition allows all to participate in ways that best fit their venues and commemorations, while offering audiences the opportunity to explore the stories in depth anytime, anywhere.
